The Functional Safety Engineer (TÜV Rheinland) SIS competency review course spans over 3.5 days, consisting of three consecutive days of vocational training, supplemented with student exercises and homework questions for self-study to prepare for the exam on the final day.
For in-person training sessions, the 4-hour closed-book exam will be conducted on the morning of the fourth day. The exam comprises 60 multiple-choice questions (1 mark per question) and 25 open-ended questions (1 mark per question).
For virtual training formats, the exam will be conducted entirely online. It will consist of 70 multiple-choice questions (1 mark per question) and 3 open interview questions (5 marks per question).
The pass score criterion for both exam formats is 75%.
